Reverend and the makers on the steps of Stopford

by Jane McConnell, News Editor

revFollowing a sell-out gig at the Academy, lead singer from top Sheffield band Reverend and the Makers treated fans to an impromptu acoustic set outside the Stopford Building.

A crowd of approximately 70 people gathered around the steps of the Medical School to watch a 10-minute acoustic set, as ‘The Reverend’ Jon McClure busked away to the flash of the fans’ cameras.

Leanne Gater, a student from the University of Derby, said: “It’s surprising he had any space to breathe, never mind perform. It was so random!”

After finishing, McClure ran down Oxford Road with his guitar and exited the gig by swooping onto his tourbus.
