This season the Lowry is celebrating the diverse world of dance. It all kicks off with a special Dance Multi-Buy offer. Showing this week is the legendary Sylvie Guillem, who is joined on stage by Russell Maliphant for a mixed programme, choreographed by Maliphant himself.
This mixed bill features Push - a duet combining the abilities of this extraordinary partnership set to an original new score by Andy Cowton, and Solo, performed by Guillem to the music of Carlos Montoya.
The evening is completed by Shift, Maliphant’s signature solo and the powerful, driving solo, Two, performed by Guillem. The four pieces are complimented by lighting designed by Maliphant’s long-time collaborator Michael Hulls, reflecting the flow and energy between movement and light.
