Scrubs could be saved from the axe if recent rumours are to be believed. The show was put on hiatus during the writer's strike with five unaired episodes remaining. Creator Bill Lawrence has insisted that fans will be able to see the finale of the show no matter what, but recent reports suggest that ABC studios have ordered eighteen new episodes. The show had previously been shown on NBC.

Comedy duo Reeves and Mortimer are currently writing a new show, their first since sketch show Monkey Trousers in 2005. Reeves has said the show will be about, “superheroes who get skills through a telegraph pole that malfunctions”. The pair are also in talks about a new series of Shooting Stars.

Spaced is set to become the latest in a long line of British series to get an American remake with Fox having ordered a pilot. The show is to be written by Will and Grace's Adam Barr with producer McG also involved. Creator Edgar Wright has long opposed such a remake, saying he and star Simon Pegg were not consulted.
