Spring Perfection, Old Collection.

Although we may think we have the funds to splash out on a whole new Spring wardrobe, we all know in our heart of hearts that loans are long gone and the overdraft isn’t too far behind. To add to that weather up T’North, high street Spring season collections do little more than clash with the grey Manchester skies. So what’s the northern friendly solution that will save a few pennies in the process? Well creatively mixing a bit of last seasons weather suitable staples with some vibrant spring season gems could be the prefect solution. So who says you can’t look chic in your winter comforts…
1. Even if you’re not a girly girl, this is the season to do florals' (Urban Outfitters Skirt £38). Mixed with simple separates, winters waistcoat and tan accessories the look is tailored and chic.

2. Think last seasons skinny jeans mixed with springs coloured trench (Topshop £65) and an Americana inspired t-shirt. (Urban Outfitters £25). Tying rather than buckling the waist belt adds to the laid back effect.  And get into the spirit of spring with nautical inspired colours and ruffled tops (Topshop £25) whilst sheltering from the rain in a parka mac.

3. Springs knife-edge pleats look sharp mixed with a long sleeve top and thick tights. If February is grey enough, some patent boots will soon lift the mood.
4. Be brave, wider leg trousers are springs alternative to skinnies. Mix with monochrome accessories to create a chic silhouette that complements a chunky winter cardigan.
5. Give skinny jeans or tights an injection of spring with a crisp shirtdress and complement the look with an Americana scarf. A waist belt is an easy way to look spring set in seconds, wear right on the rib cage for a flattering post Christmas corset effect.

So banish the winter blues and give your wardrobe a cheap lift!
