THE BBC filmed a new sketch show on the Fallowfield Campus last week.
Surprised students witnessed a film crew at work in Owens Park on Tuesday morning.
The fifteen-strong team was shooting scenes for new sketch show Scallywag against the backdrop of the cash points near Owens Park Reception, while curious students watched on.
The nature of the new show was shrouded in mystery, but it seemed to be part of the BBC's bid to support and invest in home-grown comedic talent. The episode set in Owens Park will air on BBC 3 in March 2008.
